Ingredients

- 1 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard (prepared or dry)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound ground beef or vegetarian substitute
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the Sloppy Joe mixture on hamburger buns.

Customize your sauce by adding diced bell peppers or using barbecue sauce instead of ketchup.
