- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup butter

Instructions
- Combine sugar, milk, and butter in a thick-bottomed pan over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and monitor the temperature with a candy thermometer, aiming for 234°F (112°C).
- Once at the correct temperature, remove from heat and let it cool undisturbed to 110°F (43°C).
- Beat the mixture until it thickens and loses its shine, then add in the chocolate and vanilla extract.
- Pour the fudge into a greased dish, let it set at room temperature, and once set, cut into squares.
Notes
Avoid stirring too much to prevent crystallization. Store fudge in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
