- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the cream cheese and butter in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until the batter becomes fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and baking soda.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra softness, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
