Description

A delicious blend of apples and pecans in a flaky Danish pastry tart that is perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 46 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Prepare the filling by peeling, coring, and slicing the apples, and toasting and chopping the pecans.
  4. Mix the apples, pecans, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl until combined.
  5. Place the filling in the center of the rolled-out pastry, leaving a 1/2 inch border.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling and brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
