Description

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Lemon zest to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the melted butter and milk, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and lemon zest.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.
