- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 2 cups fruit (peaches, berries, or cherries)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the butter in a 9×9 baking dish and let it melt in the oven.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and milk until combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Once the butter has melted, carefully pour the batter into the baking dish without stirring.
- Spoon the fruit evenly over the top of the batter. Again, do not stir.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until it is golden brown and bubbling.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
