- 6 tbsp plain flour, heat-treated
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 60ml water
- 40ml oil (or melted butter)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tbsp (7g) melted butter for cinnamon swirl
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar for cinnamon swirl
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon for cinnamon swirl
- 1 tsp granulated sugar for cinnamon sugar
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon for cinnamon sugar
Instructions
- To heat-treat the flour, microwave it on medium heat for 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring frequently. Let it cool completely.
- In a mug, mix the heat-treated flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, water, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract until well combined.
- For the cinnamon swirl, mix the melted butter, light brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Swirl it into the cake batter in the mug.
- For the cinnamon sugar topping, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top of the cake mixture.
- Microwave the mug cake on lower heat for about 1-2 minutes, keeping an eye on it to prevent overflow.
- Enjoy your delicious mug cake!
