  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 cup homemade chocolate cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese.
  3. Add the sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add in the flour and melted dark chocolate, mixing just until combined to avoid overmixing.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. For serving, top with chocolate cream cheese frosting if desired.
