- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1 cup homemade chocolate cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese.
- Add the sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add in the flour and melted dark chocolate, mixing just until combined to avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For serving, top with chocolate cream cheese frosting if desired.
