- 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add the melted butter and eggs, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into three equal strands.
- Place chocolate chips along the strands, then braid them together.
- Let the braided dough rise for another 30-60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
