- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture.
- Spread half of the batter into your prepared baking pan.
- Layer the sliced apples on top and sprinkle them with cinnamon.
- Pour the remaining batter over the apples.
- Bake for about 45 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before serving.

Serve warm or at room temperature. Delicious alone or with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
