Description

A delightful dessert capturing the sweetness of fresh apples combined with fluffy cake, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture.
  6. Spread half of the batter into your prepared baking pan.
  7. Layer the sliced apples on top and sprinkle them with cinnamon.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the apples.
  9. Bake for about 45 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Delicious alone or with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
